Lance Lindeman will be retiring as of March 31st, 2023

Lance Lindeman will be retiring as of March 31st, 2023. With Lance’s retirement President Anderson has accepted the position as union rep. Kelsie will be stepping down as president at the end of the month and Vice President Devin Hogan will be moving into the presidency. With this transition Local 12 is looking for a new Vice President to take his spot. Any interested candidates can email the E-board at eboard@opeiu12.org with a letter of intent and the E-board will vote to appoint a new Vice President until the upcoming election.

Tentative Agreement Reached with HealthPartners/Voting Instructions

Dear Local 12 Members at HealthPartners,

On Friday, December 10th, OPEIU Local 12 and HealthPartners concluded contract negotiations by coming to a Tentative Agreement. The Local 12 bargaining team spent hundreds of hours preparing and negotiating the contract, including two marathon overnight negotiating sessions that lasted over 25 straight hours each. This agreement is tentative until accepted via vote by the Local 12 union members at HealthPartners. 

Local 12 will be hosting two Zoom meetings for members to come and ask questions/get clarifications/etc from the Bargaining team and the log on information is listed below.  The best way to get questions answered is to attend one of these meetings as we will be reviewing all tentative changes.  If you need questions answered and cannot attend either meeting, please reach out to the Local 12 bargaining team that are copied on the email and someone will answer your questions.

Bargaining Update December 11, 2021

The Local 12 Bargaining team returned to the table on Wednesday and Thursday this week and spent some long days and late nights fighting back the Employer’s extensive health insurance plan and insulting and low wage proposals.
